WHY? Sims switching to default off/def sets Topic

Can someone share the logic for me of teams switching back to their original offense/defense when controlled by sim? The result is meddling IQs for teams that have just switched over to sim coaches since very few teams have retained their original sets over the years.

My guess is the game was designed to use all sets equally but the user base became lopsided(FB/Press) in usage. It's their way of fitting a round peg into the square hole. Or putting the toothpaste back in the tube.

It is has been this way since the beginning

A small improvement to the game would be to have the SIM calculate the "dominant" off and def for returning players and use that. I would not go with game plan settings but with the actual IQ of the players.
