This player was signed by a sim in Period 1 before I arrived at Weber St. He is listed as signed by me. He is pretty good so that probably won't matter, but if I rescinded him, I wouldn't get resources.

If I'm not mistaken, I read that THOSE guys would not count as signed by the incoming user.

Send a ticket. They know about the bug, and say they're working on it; the more they hear about it, the more urgent it will be. You're right, you can't cut him prior to RS2, and you won't get resources if you cut him after a season (also causes a small rep hit). Pretty minor in practice, but it will be nice when they get this fixed.

No, you will get the resources even though you're listed as signing him. Others have done it.

But I agree that they should change it so it's clear and obvious.

I have the same situation with the D2 team I just took over. SIM signed 6 horrible guys in period one and they're all showing as recruited by me, so I'm hoping to be able to cut them and get resources when the next recruiting period comes around.

It is a bug, and they are trying to resolve. You will get full resources if you cut, just as any other Sim Player.

I put in a ticket and got this as a response:

"Unfortunately, recruits that are signed in the 1st recruiting period cannot have their scholarships rescinded prior to or during the 2nd recruiting window.

You would not receive recruiting resources if you rescinded their scholarships next season, which is a known issue.

Thanks!"

that makes it sound like I'm SOL on the resources for the 6 guys SIM signed? That's pretty terrible

No. They misunderstood your question. I got "It's a know bug and we're working on it."

In response to your question, they meant that you can't immediately rescind them. However, you can wait a year, then rescind them and get resources.

Yeah, I could tell that they totally misinterpreted what I said, because I said nothing about rescinding scholarships before the 2nd session, but it still was very misleading
