I've got a guy I'm recruiting who is still considering "multiple". Right now, it's me versus 5 SIMAI schools. Here's where we stand:

me: Very high, scholarship, C- prestige
SIM1: High, scholarship, C+ prestige
SIM2: Low, scholarship, B- prestige
SIM3: Very low, no scholarship, C+ prestige
SIM4: Very low, no scholarship, C+ prestige
SIM5: Very low, no scholarship, C+ prestige

Do I need to keep pouring AP and HV into him until I get him considering only me? Or should my "very high" make me comfortable enough to at least save on the HV costs.

What session are you on? This game is based on chance so its a chance that you can multiply yourself. In getting the player to the player treshold which is around 60 to 80% effort no 1 has confirmed the treshold yet.

Without going on any other information, I might want to push the other SIMs down to at least moderate. I'm thinking considering both SIMs have a higher prestige, so it's a possibility they may decide to battle for him. I will be the first to admit, I'm not the most experienced player when it comes to SIM behavior in regards to recruiting. Other more experienced players might give you a better answer.

A lot of it depends on how important the recruit is to you. There is a lot of strategy involved so can't tell you "yes" or "no" on whether to use up your HVs or not. There may be a better player that you're interested in.

Yes, first recruiting session. His signing preference is "Early".

Another HV and 60 AP moved the High to Moderate, and he has changed from considering "multiple" to just me.

Make sure you leave enough for session 2.

With his Early signing preference, it was a good move for you to push the other sims to Moderate. You shouldn't have to hold them down for long.
