Sorry if this has been asked before but I keep getting mixed results.

What are all the possible scenarios of signing a recruit that is ineligible?

At D3 they show up to campus 100% of the time. At D2 and D1 there is a very loose correlation where more recruiting effort gives them an increased likelihood of showing up.

At which division? Honestly, I've only completed full recruiting sessions for D1 so far in 3.0 and haven't gone after any ineligibles yet. Are you hinting they all show now at D2 and D1?

I've lost two of three ineligibles that signed with my D2 teams since the move to 3.0. They all were rated as D1 prospects.
I also had an ineligible I was recruiting pass his SAT during the second recruiting cycle. It's been years since I had that occur in 2.0

Tons of ineligibles pass their SAT during recruiting. I like it.

So at some point during the recruiting process it'll tell me if hes gonna be eligible or not? Is that the only thing that can happen?

I'm D2 so dealing with D2 and D1 prospects.

Yes. There are several rounds of SATs throughout the season and at least one of those is during recruiting. If he passes you'll get a message to your inbox.

Also, and I'm not 100% sure on this, you may need to have him color-coded (red, yellow, green, blue) in order to get that message.

Agreed that many ineligiles pass their SAT's during recruiting, but the point I was making is the rarity of passing the SAT during the second recruiting cycle after the season.
