RMAC Game DAY

4/29 AM: #8Fort Hays St. (9-2) at #18UCCS (10-2)

Preview: Harry Moore (19.7 pts/gm) and the nations top FG% team, will look for a home win against Ft. Hays, a program averaging 90.4 ppg, 2nd most in the nation, and leads the nation with 6.6 Blks per game.

Result: UCCS wins OT thriller 82-77. The RMAC game of the week lived up to its hype. UCCS led the entire game till :45 left in the game, "Luther Chouinard lays it up and in set up by Brian Chapman" to take a two point lead. But just when it looked like Ft. Hays had stolen the game, Harry Moore hit a game tying three with :05 left on the clock to send the game to overtime, where they eventually put the game away.

Player of the game
Harry Moore 29 Points, 3 Rebounds, 3 Steals

4/29 PM: #8Fort Hays St. (9-2) at #14CCU

Preview: Early RMAC POY candidate
David Iversen will lead the home team against Ft. Hays, a matchup of two top 10 RPI teams.

A tight first half battle saw Ft. Hays up by a single point. The second half would be a different story where Ft. Hays outscored Colorado Christian 46-32. CCU did a great job slowing the game down, and ran into trouble when their dependable PG in Isaac Petrillo got into foul trouble - ultimately fouling out.

The biggest difference between the teams was Ft. Hays outshooting CCU .510 to .439 and Ft.Hays' ability to force turnovers.

Player of the Game

James Brooks 14 Points, 3 Rebounds, was great off the bench for the Tigers.

4/30 AM: #13Western St. (12-2) (-1) at #10CSM (12-2)

Western St. out-dueled Mines 74-67 last night, in large part to a great offensive showing. The Mountaineers shot .551 from the field, and the fact that they only shot 17-29 from the FT line, actually kept the game closer than it should have been in reality.

Player of the game

Michael Baldwin 17 Points, 4 Rebounds

4/30 PM: #8Fort Hays St. (10-3) at #9Fort Lewis (12-2)

In an evenly matched game, the deciding factor was Ft. Hays stroking the 3 ball better, hitting 6-12 while Ft. Lewis only managed 7-22. This was key in the overall FG percentage where Ft. Hays outshot Ft. Lewis .440 to .379. Ft. Hays managed six key blocks too, that helped sway the momentum. Dana Burton from Ft. Lewis was terrific scoring 14 pts and grabbing 11 rebounds, but the player of the game award belongs to James Hubbs who had his best showing of the season.

Player of the game

James Hubbs 14 Points, 8 Rebounds, 3 Blocks.

5/1 AM: Adams St. (6-9) (-4) at CSUP (6-10)

Not only the game of the week, but the game of the season...this was what used to be UW vs WSU in football, the game that would decide who would, and who would not be the worst place team in the Pac-12/RMAC.

The score was close as Adams St. could not hit their free throws, but a differential of FG% was clear. Adams shot .528 while CSUP only managed to shoot .385. Adams must feel like Jack on titanic, on top of the world.

Michael Hough led all scorers with 20 points to be named player of the game.

5/1 PM: #18Fort Lewis (12-4) at #10Metropolitan St. (13-3)

Randolph Solomon was a force for Metro, as he and his team outscored FLC 36-24 in the first half which was enough comfort to hold off a FLC r un in the 2nd. Metro was .500 from the field in their 70-63 victory.

AM: #13Metropolitan St. (14-4) at #7Fort Hays St.

In a rivalry game that has been somewhat lopsided recently in Ft. Hay's fashion, we saw a suffocation defense from Ft. Hay's that forced 21 turnovers against Metro. RMAC POY candidate Randolph Solomon managed 20 points, but had 7 turnovers and was only 6-21 from the field.

POTG

Michael Holder 16 Points, 6 Assists

PM: #10CSM (15-3) at #7Fort Hays St.

What a barnburner this one was. Dead even after the first half, dead even after the second. This game was so special it decided to last longer. James Hubbs scored 9 points in overtime to secure a 93-87 victory over the Orediggers.
