Is LP worth something at PG and SG?

For sure. I've heard lots of people say it is pretty valuable.

Word is it affects how a player finishes at the basket.

They enhanced LP for guards a number of seasons ago. It is particularly effective if your guard has high ATH. ATH enhances low post scoring and SPEED enhances perimeter scoring.

My PG is 90 LP, 90 PER, should I drop threes to 0 or -1 instead of +1. I have more ath than speed.

depends on what the defenders look like. In a vacuum, I would say that guy is normally going to be a better at -1 though.

He is shooting 40% from three and 50ish from two. 40%*3=1.2, 50%*2=1. I'd do 0.

The distribution of perimeter and inside shot attempts is supposedly roughly related to the ratio of your player's LP/PER ratings. In other words, a 90/90 guy set at 0 will take about half outside and half inside shots. The + and - ratings will adjust that as well as the defense you play against. If the defense is set at +3, he may take fewer outside shots. If the defense is a zone, he might take more.
Frankly at 90/90 the guy should be a tough out either way. If he plays against a zone, I might make him a +1. Against a press, maybe -1 to go inside more and draw fouls. Lots of options at that rating level.
