I am hoping someone can help me. I currently have five (5) seniors and one (1) walk-on. When I started recruiting I had 5 openings. I have filled 4 spots and it now says I currently have 1 opening remaining. My original assumption was that it was for the 5 seniors originally who were graduating. However, I now believe the walk-on is the 5th spot since he technically doesn't have a scholarship. But also, one of those seniors was an academic Non-qualifier. And I was told in a ticket that -
"The walk-on is leaving after the current season. However, one of your Seniors, was an Academic Non-Qualifier that is projected to return for a 5th season. If he does not return at the end of the season, you will then receive the recruiting assets related to his open scholarship."
I believe the end of this current season and when the new players come in, I think is this Friday.
My questions: 1,) What does that mean? 1a.)If the ANQ doesn't come back will I have a another walk-on added to the team? 1b.)Are those assets for next season or would I be able to use it now? Especially, when I could really use his spot for another player. WIS should really let you know asap like NCAA March Madness if people intend to leave and immediately free up the space. 2.) Am I correct in the fact that the walk-on is the open scholarship?
Thanks
