100% Even Preferences 3 Way Battle Topic

In Phelan we had a 3 way battle for a recruit who had no preferences at all. 2 of the teams had B prestige and the other had B+. I think its definitely interesting to look at. I was lucky enough to win this battle with 33%, I contacted the other 2 and I will post our AP below.
Team Coach Division Prestige Int Level Scholarship Offer? Odds
Georgia jpichler DI B Very High Yes 42%
North Carolina indiansrck27 DI B Very High Yes 33%
Florida bmillerua DI B+ High Yes 25%

Jpichler had 1010 with an avg of 59.41. 20 HV, 1 CV, Start and 25 minutes.
I had 920 with average of 54 and change. 20 HV, 1 CV Start, 25 Minutes
Bmiller had 470 and average of 27 and change. 20 HV, 1 CV Start, 25 Minutes

UGA and I were on the recruit from the very first cycle.

Based on AP alone the percentage of total AP for the recruit was:
UGA 42%
UNC: 38%
UF: 20%

Updated with 2/3 schools actions. Waiting on response from the 3rd.

When did UNC offer the 25 minutes? Was if from the outset ... or was increased overtime? Surprised there was such a big difference in odds 33% for UNC compared to the attention point share 38%.

The second I opened it up I offered the minutes and start.
8/5/2017 5:31 PM
So as expected all 3 of us offered the same exact actions.

still trying to understand why UNC's odds don't align more with the AP share. Is your B prestige lower than Georgia's?

Probably.

My last 4 are no post season x3, and then a 1st Rd NT.

Georgia's last 4 are no post season x2, S16, PI FF. That was a previous coach, and he came up from D+ to B while I came up from C+ to B

UGA and UNC results make sense to me. But I'm surprised that UF was able to stay in signing range with only a small prestige advantage.

Weird, it's almost as if maybe APs are actually not overpowered, or something.

I would bet a lot of money Florida has a high B+ prestige.

Don't know whether this is tongue in cheek, but I read it exactly the opposite. AP should not make substantial difference compared to visits. It creates this insipid AP race for recruits.

If that's not a virtual 3 way tie, then those teams were FORCED to avoid developing back up targets. Seeing relative AP track the end % so closely is disheartening. If this version of the game is to clear the market fully, then UNC & UGA should have been able to safely peel away AP and devote it elsewhere. If they had, they'd have lost significant odds.

Yeah I agree. 90 extra APs got them an extra 8% signing advantage. To me, that seems well worth the APs to put in if it increases my chances of winning by that much.

Ningles alluded to a big key in this battle. The difference between a high B and a low B prestige at D1 can easily be 10% in effort. Looking at the resumes I'd say Georgia's B is higher than UNC's B. With everything else being just about equal and there being zero preferences to gauge I think this result makes sense. The difference between 90 APs is negligible when both teams are maxed out on effort (CV, HV, promises). Even with Florida's mid to high B+ prestige they couldn't overcome a 500 AP deficit.

AP is worth a lot. Once you get in a battle, you almost always need to get the AP high, or you will get caught trying to spread your resources.
