Rescinding scholarships Topic

It's a common belief that rescinding a player you recruited will hit your rep. Several of us in Smith Little East(D3) have rescinded multiple scholarships and haven't taken a hit.

So is it possible that it only applies to D1/D2? After all, the jump from D3 to D2 requires minimal success, if you want to call even a sub .500 record success, so the bar is really low.

I'm not sure if there was a change with the update but it didn't used to be that way in 2.0. If you rescinded a scholarship of a guy you signed (and not a sim signed player) you'd almost always take a 1/3-2/3 of a letter grade hit and it'd stay for 2 seasons, regardless of division.

As I said, nothing has happened to several of us in D3 Smith. We're anchored so I'm not sure it would be a big deal if it did. However, in Rupp, I'm in D2 with plans for D1. I have the opportunity to replace a guy I signed. But I'm afraid a rep hit will set me back.

Interesting. The same guy that has continuously called me a cheater is going to take advantage of a "loophole"

My Player rescind scholarship started but can't find where to do it at...

Since I have adopted the Zone mentally of playing 10, I have cut a total of 4 players in two seasons and my rep is still at an A+. I have yet to see any negative consequences to cutting players besides not getting resources since I (regretfully) signed them

A) I don't know if it's a "loophole".
B) I'm not spending 5 hours repeating the same action over and over again while watching my team get better.
C) I'm not cheating nor am I a liar who "officially" retired from the forums yet still post.

Doesn't matter if you spend 1 minute or 5 hours. You're still exploiting a loophole. Without even knowing it, you've admitted it. Go back and reread what you wrote. So if there is a magic button I can press to automatically increase my ratings by 20 in each attribute, because it only took me a minute, that's ok? There is a difference between "getting better" and "gaining an advantage". By your definition, if you're "gaining an advantage" because of a "loophole" that's cheating, those were your words.

Jeez, you're such a clown. You're so intent on defending your cheating that you'll grasp at anything. Despite the fact that you're a cheating liar, I'll try to help you.

The very first post indicates that I think it's a game design. I believe the possibility exists that there is no penalty at D3 because the bar is so low to move to D2. Everyone seems to believe the move to D2 from D3 is automatic but I know a user who went 3-24 and was denied. Maybe he needed four wins. But, since even the tiniest measure of success would allow one to go from D3 to D2, maybe D3 rescind scholarships in different than D1/D2. Essentially allowing all sorts of mistakes but still allowing the user to go to D2. My question is "Does anyone know 100% if the penalty exists at D1/D2 under 3.0?"

Now, here's the trick: In your twisted mind, do you think that's the same as hitting "redshirt/remove redshirt" hundreds of times over the course of half a day? You probably do but, as noted, your mind doesn't work like a normal person's mind.

I was looking for the thread where thewizard posted that he had put on a red shirt and taken it off and was surprised to see that WE went up. Can someone post a link to that thread?

What's the "loophole" that you think he's taking advantage of?

Mike is asking honest questions about unexpected behavior by the sim.

wizard knew what he was doing was cheating and unsportsmanlike, and he still did it repeatedly for hours on end. Then once he was called out for it he responded to the community with two long luxurious middle fingers.

See the difference, wiz?

Hey guys, remember that time wiz cheated and then couldn't get over what a big cheater he was and would never be recognized as anything else but a big cheating loser? Yeah, me too.

While I enjoy blasting thewiz for cheating as much as the next guy, I'm still seeking an answer.

Has anyone cut a player they recruited in D2 and taken/not taken a rep hit? Or are we assuming as much because that's how it happened in 2.0? It's NOT happening in D3.
