Promised start and 20 min Topic

If the fatigue setting is used for playing time, is there a low end stamina number to shoot for, to make sure the promise is filled? I’m not intentionally aiming low on stamina. But if I were to sign a guy with 50 stamina, would he be substituted so quickly and often than he wouldn’t get 20 min a game?

The 50 stamina was an example, not an attribute of a recruit I’m going after. I’m sure a 99 stamina guy would be no problem, and a 1 stamina guy would not get the 20 min. So where is a target range for this?

It depends on tempo and sets.

If you are going FB/FCP you probably want it atleast in the low 70's.

If you go slowdown zone, you could probably eek out 18ish minutes with a guy in the upper 50's.

Ok thanks. My thoughts were pretty close. I'll be playing Flex/Zone. And i won't run any uptempo. All normal and slowdown. I was thinking around 60 ST would cover it.

I have a kid on my Nebraska team that started the season at 65 for stamina and it built to 75 by the end of the regular season and I was able to get him 18mpg utilizing a mix of all three tempos under Motion/Press. I got a bit lucky that he never had a freshman slap-happy game where he fouled out super quick, although he did have one game where he sat a good chunk of the first half with 3 fouls.

I knew when I went to 20 mpg that I would be pushing it for the kid to get there. Definitely would not go much lower with a press, and even then would only do it if the Stam was blue/green so I know I could grow it in a hurry during the season.
