Injuries and when to play them Topic

Ive had a PG get an ACL strain. Hes missed 6 games now but shows hes at 84% healthy. Would he be ok to put back in the lineup because im dying without him. Started the season 9-1 and now ive gone 3-3 without him and lost 3 games i should have easily won if he were playing.

If i put him back in now has anyone ever seen a re injury? IS there risk to that? Also will he not be as good if i do put him back in since hes only 84% healthy? any info helps.

You're fine. 80% is most coaches' cutoff. Also, when you have minutes or starts promised, the player will expect to play once they get to 60%, I think.

He will not be as good as 100% - a rough guide may be to take his ratings and multiple by 84% but I dont think anyone knows whether that is accurate.

SO, compare him to your other options.

I sometimes will bring a guy who was a starter back as a sub - since the guy who was #2 on the depth chart MAY be better in light of the injury. That is NOT always true
