Hello people, here is riddle 13. This one was submitted by another coach who has requested to remain unnamed. Its a really good one.

• I am a college basketball player & coach.
• I was first in war, first in peace and first in assists.
• I always win or lose, but never tie.
• I almost defeated Goliath, but my last stone couldn't hit his forehead.
• I just dug a little deeper to reach the top.

Who am I?

I didn't get them all. The tie was the give away. He never "wears" a tie.

i remember something from him that rung a bell about digging a little deeper.

he led his team in assists and I thought the war part was maybe related to wins above replacement maybe.

I stole that riddle point based off the tie

** Lead George Washington in assists as a player in 1982.

** Never wears a tie on the sideline.

** Barely lost to undefeated Kentucky a few years ago when Jerian Grant's shot went long.

** Passed Digger Phelps to be the winning-est coach in Notre Dame history.

I thought it was UNC / Duke related. Not UK
