Can you sign 2 ineligable players? or just 1?

Does promising a start and minutes help you at all if they have no playing preference?

You can sign two, promises won't hold since they won't play.

Wouldn't making promises be a huge recruiting tool with them?

offering a start and 25 minutes is valuable. And you wouldn't even have to fulfill them (unless he becomes eligible.... then you're screwed)

That sounds enticing... would the promise then carry over to the next season were they are eligible? Or would it just vanish?

Vanish. But beware if they were to become eligible for that freshman season. It happens some times

Guys below 2.4 HS gpa almost never become eligible. The ones around 2.5-2.7 do.

Very good to know. I always wonder that. I'm recruiting an ineligible right now at D2. And his is 2.5 (he's one that i HOPE becomes eligible). But I always think.... why is this guy ineligible if you only need a 2.0? But i realize every player with a 2.5 in high school is ineligible. Never knew why that is.

In rl there is a sliding scale foe eligibility. The higher your sat scores the lower your gpa can be.

Here's a question. Why end recruiting Session 2 at 11 pm when it actually ends at 2 am? Why not give coaches that last window of recruiting, 11-2, since you have it in the system? Let coaches make one last scholarship offer, it will process the same.

I have a player I am recruiting and have offered a scholarship but I don’t have one available. He obviously won’t be able to accept until I rescind a scholarship correct? Will I have to rescind the scholarship then just hope that I get the guy I am targeting? No way to no for sure I am guessing.

Lot of factors. What division is your school? The recruit? And any other coaches that are targeting him?

if you can hold all others off until you cut the guy AND are eligible to sign him, then sure you can get him.

If he has a late signing preference, you'd be better off because he won't sign with anyone in RS1.
