DITR Year of Draft Topic

So I have DITR player who I just drafted this season. I went to go look at his projections on my amateur draft scouting, and I noticed his projections had completely changed (shifted higher). Has anyone seen this before? Depending on your scouting budget, could that be accurate? (It’s quite different than what he was before).

That is what happens with DITR players (and I have had it with players just drafted). They get a boost in their potential. It is one aspect I enjoy about this game. Love it when I get an extra prospect or three. Now, they don't often hit the potential listed, but if they come close, you could have useful major leaguers.

I've had a few DITRs actually exceed their projections. Give them the best opportunity to get playing time with the best coaching, and they can develop very rapidly. Especially if they have a high make-up rating.

Yeah I picked the guy because he had a high makeup and an ok power/eye split, so maybe he can turn into a decent BL.

Do guys develop the same way at the BL level as long as you play them? Bobby Ray Chamberlain was a DITR at age 24, my team wasn't competing so I called him up at age 25 when he was 72 overall (projected 87). Did it partly to see what would happen since I had nothing invested in him. Also figured since he's older he wouldn't have time to develop all the way. He continued developing at the same rate I see other DITRs develop...but is there a rule of thumb on when it's appropriate to call guys up to max out development? Is it any different for DITRs?

thanks

Guys will develop better in the big leagues as long as they play because they will have better coaching.
