I had a first year ML player go to the DL with "Shoulder Tendinitis". Player is to miss up to 2 months and will be out about 38 HBD days. He took ratings hits across the board and dropped from an 88 OVR to 85. I placed him on the 15 day DL because I am in a playoff race and need my best player, but even more so I was afraid of putting him on the 60 day DL and NOT getting a second recovery cycle because he was only injured 38 days. He's set to come back tomorrow and his "recovery" from the 15 day DL was absolutely nothing in any category. I have max training and medical. I see there is a DL transfer option and I'm wondering if transferring him to the 60 day DL will allow for another recovery at the end that actually does something. I'm also wondering if it's retroactive, or will putting him on the 60 day DL now put him out for 60 days from now

I think it will put him out for at least 60 days more. But I would never allow a player to be permanently impaired, if I could fix it. Playoffs or no playoffs. His long term career is what I would take care of.
