I feel like the answer is 5 but I want verification before signings start.

What’s the max amount of players can you have listed at a particular class?

Will an ANQ be listed as a freshman after sitting out that first season?

It 6. And ineligibles will be sophomores but RS guys are freshmen

To add to this..... ineligibles, and their "5th/Sr" season.... is it true that they randomly choose to leave if they want and its out of the control of the coach?

I've heard that if you keep their GPA up to a certain number (I think it was 2.7) they'll stay for that 5th year. Is that a concrete number? Or just a general goal to aim for and hope?

Good questions topdogg. I used to avoid ANQ but now they are vital for my plans of constructing a balanced roster for my D1 rebuild.

I believe they stay to graduate as long as they make the required GPA and don’t go EE.

But what is that "requirement"? I'm not sure it's 2.0 like everyone else. Could be, but I've heard otherwise. I usually don't recruit them either. But I started doing so, especially with a zone team.

i like to find high skilled ineligibles that have no business dropping to D2, but do sometimes because of them being ineligible. If a guy has a 2.0 HS GPA, and wants to play preference..... start and 25 minutes all day!

So I'll have a nice ineligible on my roster, and still redshirt a guy and be able to compete well. At least that's my goal behind it

They come back for a 5th year if they have a 2.4 in d2 or 2.7 in d1. Its in the knowledge base
