Took over a bad rebuild at Holy Cross (Rupp), and normally I won't take a project that has signed recruits. Did not have that opportunity with the jobs available, so Holy Cross was the best or the worse.
I only have one slot open now, but will be cutting the two Sim recruits before period 2 starts. I have found some prospects on the fringes, and will give them an offer.

Now my question. Normally an offer has a "positive" quality to a recruiting prospect. Does that hold true if you give out more offers then you have slots? Or will that bite me as a "recruiting negative"?

It’s always positive. You can offer as many scholarships as you like, the only negative is if you have to revoke.

This system isn't nowhere near that intelligent.

No penalty for over recruiting. Tom Crean would like it.

Sine EE's notify you early, I really wish I could notify these guys that I have revoked their free education. But as you just said, the system is not that smart.

I pushed very hard for the ability to rescind scholarships from guys signed in 1st session by another coach but Seble didn't think it was necessary. Makes no sense why you can't do that. The canned response is "taking over a new team is supposed to be difficult, just like real life."

Worst excuse ever.

I personally would have no problem with the logic being changed so Sim teams sign nobody RS1, and just accept a tidal wave of Sim signings the first cycle of RS2.

Doesn't help for this season, but if you're unaware, you can send a ticket once the season starts, and CS will remove your name from the sim signed recruits that have your name to them. That way you can cut them and get resources for them in RS2 of your second season at the school, or any time after that whenever you choose to cut them

They were all mine, and I did submit a ticket. Great advice for any of you considering taking over a program. I would have been sick to not get compensation for cutting them, as what would have happened had I not complained.
