The 1999 Team Icon League needs an owner for the Giants to get started with the 1999 season. The open team is the San Francisco Giants. The basic premise of the league is that you cannot have any player on your roster unless he played for your team at some point in his career. Any player who played only for your team you get automatically without drafting them (Cal Ripken Jr, Barry Larkin, Tony Gwynn, etc.) and anyone else goes into the regular rookie draft. Trading is hot and heavy in the league to get ahead of the other teams that can take your guys. C'mon in and we're ready to start the season. I'll give you a league number as soon as you sign up and we'll be good to go. The Giants roster for 1999 is as follows:

1999 San Francisco Giants

Picks Traded For
Giants own Athletics 1st in 2000
Giants own Devil Rays 2nd via OAK in 2000

Picks Traded Away
Giants traded away rights to Barry Zito in 2000
Dodgers own Giants 3rd via OAK in 2000
Athletics own Giants 4th in 2000

This is an excellent progressive theme for those who want a challenge. Drafting/acquiring players who played on your respective franchise makes this the most active progressive that I have played in.

Come play in the NL West with my Dodgers!
