I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find it. With AP, once you get a recruit interested enough to recruit them, is there a need to still have APs? If so, how long? Once I become Very High do I keep it on to help in a recruiting battle? Thanks!

Once you unlock a scholarship and any other actions that you want to do, you do not need to keep AP on them. They will stay at the same level of interest, but if another team does more recruiting than you do, you will drop away from Very High.

Does more recruiting as in HV, CV, etc.... but not more APs at the point in time, correct?

It’s up to you whether or not you keep AP on them. They do rack up cumulative credit, so if you’re in a battle where you drop out of the AP, and an opponent continues, it will hurt you. Visits and promises are higher value, but AP investment can be a deciding factor, especially when other factors are comparable.

My advice on AP, is if you have your targets lined up, and they're unlocked, keep pumping the AP.

Personally if I have say 3 openings, I'll have my 3 guys unlocked that I'm targeting, and I'll also have 2-3 more backups unlocked. At that point (especially if I'm leading), ALL of my AP go to my main targets. If I'm in a battle for one of them and not the others, he gets the vast majority.

It's common for me to have well over 1000 AP on a recruit at the time of signing. If you and an opposing coach are both "all-in" on a recruit, your 1200 AP to his 500 AP will make a big difference on the recruits choice, if all other areas are fairly equal.

On any top recruit, anyone pursuing usually goes "All in" - promising minutes, promising a start, campus visit, 20 home visits. The only differentiating factors will be AP, Prestige, and Preferences. Assuming close prestige (within 1.5 letter grades, as nobody with a C prestige can stay in a battle against an A or A+ that has committed resources), and assuming you and the opposing coaches have good preferences (because who goes after a top recruit when they have crap preferences), AP becomes the only thing you can control in the battle and is crucial to whether or not you can stay in it. Taking your foot off the gas by reducing AP puts you at a disadvantage that--if the other coach kept his AP high--it is mathematically impossible for you to overcome.
