What causes a player to drop off the HOF ballot?

One of my players has been on the ballot for a few years, getting votes every year...but suddenly this season he’s not even on the list of nominees anymore, and I’m not sure why.

Obviously, that was my first thought as well, but there are guys still on the ballot who retired long before my guy did...

Thanks, I figured there was a glitch somewhere...we have a guy in our world who retired after season 30, and is still on the ballot.

We are starting season 51...

I wonder if the non-AI nominated guys getting added to the ballot, then dropped from the ballot before five seasons answers this question. If I nominate a player, then the very next season, I take away his nomination, he has only been on the ballot for one season. If no other owner nominates him for four seasons, is he still on the list to be nominated during that 6th season?

Are those players exclusively ai Nominated or exclusively owner nominated or is it a mix?
