Has a d3 recruit even been drafted? Just curious. Maybe someone slipped through the cracks.

I wouldn't have known this for certain, except for shoe just mentioned in a thread a few days ago that a D3 team had actually lost an EE to the draft recently. As a junior. So the answer is yes. But I'm not sure how often it's happened

I thought I recalled he was a junior, but I was mistaken.

Looking at that guy, I can't believe I haven't had guys drafted from D2. I've had multiple guys better than him. I know sometimes players do get drafted from D2. But that particular player just doesn't wow me.

edit.... I wanna add to this. It's obvious the perimeter and low post was the kicker, and i've never had guys that are that high in both. But that ATH & DEF under 70 surprises me

I think the draft is probably based on overall a little more. They don’t value ATH and DEF as much as we do.

Back in the day, long time ago, it was based on stats. The link I posted above for Fred Neece, his athleticism and defense was in the single digits and teens.
