How to increase minor league free agent pool? Topic

Are there any ways a world can pump up its minor league free agent pool over time?

For example, if you sign your scrub draft picks or leftover IFA's and release them, will they go into the MiL FA pool the following season?

Are there other things people have tried (and either failed or succeeded)? Thanks

Yes. The things you mention are exactly the way.

Another thing that helps is promoting players at seasons end so you domy have as many retiring. Even if they are scrubs they can be deactivated and promoted for depth.

guys who get to AAA basically don't ever retire for as long as they stay there, they stay in the pool until they're 35+ years old.

Tryout camp scrub players are available through the GM/contracts page.

PJ touched on it but yes promoting guys and preventing retirement is key. Important to have rules in place for minors so folks dont ignore them
