I was hoping someone could please help me locate a thread I read some months (years?) back but cannot locate now.

It's how to draft players into a position they are not eligible for. I'm pretty sure there's a way to get around that, but the search function is not mi amigo today.

Add the player you draft.

Copy the link.

Delete the player from the draft center.

Paste the link you copied but where it says “playerID=“ change the number to which position you want him at.

(C - 1 | 1B - 2 | 2B - 3 , etc)
