Never had a guy who GAINED three points in WE leave until now. Has anyone else had this happen?

It is a devastating blow to the team.

If you didn’t keep your promises, there is a chance the player will leave. Work ethic isn’t the barometer you should be relying on. What matters is if the player sent you an “all clear” message after his complaint. You have to do what you can to get that message, and if you don’t get it, prepare for the player to leave.

If he left without ever complaining, or after sending that “all clear” message, you should send a ticket, my understanding is that’s not supposed to happen.

Shoe is correct here. Interestingly I had a player complain this season, lose 50+ points of WE, got the “all clear” message with 6 games to go in the season and he is still down 10 points of WE from his starting point. But since I received a message stating he’s happy and I’ve started him every game since I don’t anticipate him leaving at the end of the season. The message from the player is what matters here.

I had 2 guys complain about PT (one guy got I think 1 game, 1 minute all season, the other got 0/0).

Neither left.

Assuming no promises were given, will a guy complain if he doesn't start or is it mainly about minutes? Have a couple of upperclassmen from my first 2 recruiting classes that aren't good enough to start but will still be getting around 15 minutes per game as juniors/seniors.

I should clarify, what I said only applies to promises and first year players. Upperclassmen complaining about playing time does not seem to matter to anything outside of a loss of work ethic in this version of the game. I’ve never heard of a non-first year player transferring because of playing time in HD 3.0.

I have a guy who played 3.3 in the first 14 games (didn't play in 5 of those games, factored in that), and I received two emails from him.

The first was: "Coach, this may not mean a lot to you, but well, I'm getting really tired of sitting at the end of the bench. I told everyone that they could put it the bank I'd see at least 9 or 10 more minutes of action every game. I'm only playing about 1 minutes per game. What's the deal?"

The second was: "All I asked for was a little more playing time and I'm not seeing it - I let you know about my concerns and you don't do anything? Here's a concern for you - you may have an extra scholarship next season."

After the second email, I increased his playing time and he finished the season with 14.5 MPG (one start). I never received another email after the second one. His WE is -17. Will he transfer?

Bulls it's a possibility. If it's still CT time, keep starting him. If the seasons over, you may be at the mercy of waiting to find out

Ok.

Both of my guys were transfers. I think they both had promises made, but neither was a first year player.

If he’s a freshman or first year player, and you did not fulfill promises made during recruiting, then it’s very possible.

If he’s not a first year player, I have not heard of any of them transferring in 3.0, so as far as I know, it’d be a first. Lots of guys have *tried* to make scrubs transfer in 3.0, with no luck.

Sportsbulls, do not base mpg on average minutes if the player did not play every game. In my early days playing the game, I had a player get hurt. What i didn't know is once they hit a certain level of health (60 or 70 i think?), they expect to be back on the court. In this case he went a couple games past his good to go health. All of a sudden i got an email that he was not getting his 15 mpg, but his stats showed him at 19mpg. Found out about the health thing after submitting a ticket. Never got an email that he was good on minutes, but luckily he didn't leave.

I adjust his MPG to include the games he didn’t play. His stats show more minutes than I listed he has because I included the 5 games he didn’t play, in MPG. That’s what I meant by saying I factored it n.
