AB format. 1-24-24-1. We're drafting HEAD COACHES.
You can form your team from any players who played for your HEAD COACHES, but can only draft players from the seasons when they were coached by your coaches. If a coach was hired or fired in the middle of a season you can still use players from that season.
$50M Salary Cap. No clones.

For example: Let's say you were the last pick in the draft, which means you get the 24th and 25th head coaches picks. Think you're screwed? You draft Billy Cunningham and Brian Hill as your two head coaches.

From Brian Hill you'd get to form your team from players who played for:
Orlando Magic from 93-94 to 96-97 (Shaq and Penny)
Orlando Magic from 05-06 to 06-07
Vancouver Grizzlies from 97-98 to 99-00

From Billy Cunningham you'd get to augment your team from players who played for:
Philadelphia 76ers from 77-78 to 84-85 (Dr. J, Moses, Bobby Jones, Maurice Cheeks)

My head hurts with all the research to field a competitive team for a league like this ?? but it is a very nice concept

That's why I posted the coach-notable players above as a reference guide. It's really not that hard. Let's say you drafted Steve Kerr with the 5th pick. Ok, then you figure you need a center to augment that team... and with the 44th pick you go for Tom Nissalke (78-79 Moses Malone). Current Warriors squad with Moses? Come on! This league is awesome :)
