The 1943/2003 League is in its 43rd Season. We are a 20 team league (4 x 5 team divisions) with division winners facing off in the playoffs. We are a mix of veteran and new owners. It is a fun league, and right now is combining the War Years with the early 2000's so lots of offence! Catch is there is no DH (was a rule before I joined), so pitching is still very important! Otherwise, we draft at the end of the season, based on reverse finish with bottom four teams in a first round draft lottery. Trades are encouraged. There is no waiver wire. Also, we don't allow AAA players (you may forfeit a game if they are used).

Replacement owner is needed for the Pittsburgh franchise, and also you have the first pick in the draft! So you would be up to draft after you join!

Pittsburgh Pirates (need 7)

Keepers:

C: Mickey Owen, Hal Wagner
1B:
2B:
3B: Corey Koskie, Jose Hernandez
SS: Carlos Guillen, Edgar Renteria
OF: Johnny Hopp, Juan Gonzalez, Roy Cullenbine, Shawn Green, Johnny Lindell

P: Roger Clemens, Matt Morris, Steve Traschel, Jake Westbrook, Juan Rincon, Elmer Riddle, Oliver Perez

Cut: Roberto Alomar (2B), Dolph Camilli (1B), Mike Remlinger (P), Juan Batista (P)

IR: Steve Gromek, Tommy Henrich

If you want, you could make some of the listed cuts as keepers, though I don't think they had good 43/03 seasons. Also, if you really want to, you could change cities and stadiums, though we try to stay reasonably geographic for the divisions. Above team has been in the NL East. Only rule is single use of stadiums.

sitemail or post any interest. But we are ready to go as soon as you join!
