It's not what you think!

In Naismith D2, all 4 top seeds lost in round two. I'm sure over the hundreds of seasons played, it's happened. But does anyone recall seeing that happen before?

Definitely the first time I've seen that

In D1 Crum last season 3 of the 4 number 1 seeds had lost in round 1 or 2. For D1, I’d say that’s pretty rare.

Makes me glad I faltered down the latter half of the season and ended up as a 2 seed instead of a 1 haha

In 3.0 a lot of the lower ranked teams are not easy games because during the season many coaches have to fulfill recruiting promises, so they end up with deceptively bad records. But in the post season,. when they play their good lineup they can be very tough.

I find that in division III but I am patiently waiting for the new wave of people to come through I know I was their 15th wave. Are you doing your notes now? Generally curious any new bloopers in the 3.0 system?

Absolutely. And the team i lost to was a friend, and a very strong team. I viewed it as an upset only because i was undefeated and the defending champ also. Not because of the quality of the opponent. He was a deserving winner. And was way better than what you would expect from a typical 9 seed.
