how would one put a position player..say a catcher into the relief staff and back to catching amnd back to relief and so on.

he has an outfielder replacing the catcher with 2 errors and 52 passed balls in 26 games.

If you go look at the actual boxscores, Paulino didn't come in to pitch. Troy Percival did.

Did the owner in question have an illegal player (Percival) on his roster, and did admin have to switch him out for someone? I have seen this before, when that happens the new (correct) player absorbs all of the original player's stats. That's my only explanation. But again, look at the actual boxscores and read the play by play...Percival was the pitcher.

There is no way to engineer a position player to come into the game as a pitcher.

i checked...in that team's 4th game of the season the catcher is pitching 1 inning in relief in the box score.

please post the box score link. i looked at a dozen or so of Paulino’s games. Don’t look at the pitching stats. read the play by play. who does it say came in?

there is no percival in league although everything but era seems like 2007 percival.

Don’t be too impressed. It took like 5 minutes to find the team in question, and then it was just a matter of knowing what to look for...

Not to reopen an old wound, but it’s just another reason to be careful about what you might assume is tanking...

there was tanking.....whats your opinion on the same owner having 810 fine catching PA but using a primary outfielder at catcher for 27 games and having 52 passed balls and 2 errors in those 27 games....other players out of position too.

i nevr jump...i do examine closely before i decide.

used a 3b at catcher also.......total of 30 games between of and 3b........46-0 stolen bases......57 passed balls.

used AAA 4 times not allowed and other highly debateble stuff.
if not tanking certainly still deserves penalty...he is in last place.
