Would you start your best pitcher for game 7 of a LCS if after game 6 his fatigue is at 97%? Or would you tandem him with a LR who is good, but not great?

Personally, I would tandem him, with a normal pitch count but a higher than normal pull setting. That way, as long as he's pitching well, he stays in, but if he starts losing it, it's on to the LR relatively quickly.

How much does effectiveness drop with like 92% or 97% fatigue?

Depends on the next best option, his durability and the other team. 97% will drain him and I am a believer of in game fatigue affecting pitchers as well. Those other variables make so I cannot give you a good answer.

So Jones is pitching game 6 and if I lose then Hodges would be in line to pitch game 7. Prades just pitched game 5, so he will be at like 70% after game 6. I haven't used tandems much, so would I put Hodges and Craig as tandem 1A and 1B and then Silva and Prades at 2A and 2B?

Hughes and Jones are both tremendous wow.

You just need to calculate what pitch count will make them at 100% when they pitch. This may be just my opinion but what Id do. Id save your next best sp on rest in case I f up the calculations and need him. As long as they are at 100 % when pitching id be ok with what ever tandem works.

IMO 97% is fine. Really depends on how much better he is than the #2 guy.

It really does not matter whos a or b. If they have a weaker vs left or right line up you can set the lefty to what ever suits you best.

I am curious what the group thinks about playoff pitchers vs. regular season pitchers.

I know a few vet owners that are fine pitching low control (50 or less) - high split/high pitches pitchers in the regular season, but will then stash them for the playoffs.

What about those pitchers you picked up in free agency that you happen to have perfect timing with the signing - they are having a career year. Does their career year usually extend to the playoffs? An example would be the guy below. He is a career .770 opponents OPS pitcher in the regular season, but last year he only gave up an OPS of .598. If I had made the playoffs last season, do you think his success would have continued?
