I understand many veterans say that its best to use $0 Million for advanced scouting and spread that potential money elsewhere> I am curious if anyone has or is taking the opposite approach and spending $18-20 million there and if so what is the result?

I'm thinking of experimenting with it.

I know of a couple of owners in some my worlds that do. They mostly use it to snipe noobs or less invested players from their prospects.

I have never used adv scouting going back pre change.

You’ll find you won’t change your day to day oppositions that much. You might get slightly better trades when you trade vets for prospects, but majority of owners know what their prospects will become based off of their HS/COLL/INT Scout’s.

I would advise against it. I just don't think there is enough utility in it to make it work. If you have had the $20M in scouting for HS or College, you know those ratings are off, but at least they give you a barometer of where your players might land. The advanced scouting gives you the same thing -- a barometer of where a player might land. However, you still have the challenge of getting that player on your team.

I would suggest, if you don't already do so, keep track of past draft classes or past large INTL signings to see if you can trade for guys that way.
