Makeup for closers Topic

I’ve read mixed things about makeup and how it doesn’t likely amount to much, however, I am seeing a trend across my leagues as it relates to closers. It seems to be a common theme that the top closers all have a high makeup rating (80+). Could this actually be a possible rating that does contribute to a closer being good or not?

(I also know that a significant number of owners consider closer to be a waste as your best BP arm should be suA)

From my understanding, makeup only effects progression and decline, but I could be wrong.

Any pitcher can be a closer, if you want to have one.

My favorite closers are really good pitchers with a low combined stamina and durability. If I have a pitcher who is really good AND has high durability and solid stamina then that guy is in the set A roll to maximize innings.

Here are my favorite types of closers - generally pretty easy to get in the draft or IFA:

generally I bring them in for save situations only. Makeup doesn't matter to me for these types of players.
