i think he looks pretty good to me for d2 when hes old. the key is going to be how well you handle player development - it makes a huge impact on how good of an end of year soph and jr he is. there's also a good bit of luck built in - perhaps hes 81 reb cap, perhaps hes 100.
a guy like this, its imperative you start him for fr/so years, get his WE up, and keep practice minutes focused on his key categories. if you don't, he may not be very good for you except for senior year, and that would be a shame.
He probably wouldn't play much the first year. Maybe 8-10 minutes a game. Ideally I would redshirt him to maximize his growth potential. But I don't know if he'll be down with that.
A redshirt would be ideal. Even with low-ish ath, he’ll be very effective at D2 with A- and up IQ. He’ll have 3 seasons of that, plus full development if he takes the redshirt.
If he doesn’t take a redshirt, and you can’t get him many starts these first two seasons, he may be a slight disappointment, but still a useful guy on good D2 teams.
