Newbie here. I wanted to draft some good hitting pitchers, but don't want to if I am in the American League. Does the ballpark you choose have an effect or how does that work. Thx.

It's random. But there is no DH in open leagues. Whether you are in AL or NL, your pitchers are going to hit.

Thank you. I just learned about this yesterday and am already hooked. My friend told me about it and sent me the link to join an existing league....We are all newbies. Will that league be considered an OPEN league if it is not themed?
