I have a few guys in the minors of a franchise I just picked up who will go to arbitration again next season, and I don't want to pay them a penny beyond this season. They're already making more money than they're worth. If I release them before next season, will I be free and clear of them?

you can release them any time up until the final cycle on arb day next year.
