Is there any incentive to offering a scholarship, start, and minutes right away or can you unload at once? There is no multiplier or anything you’d be missing out on holding it back correct?

If the player has a preference for playing time right away, a promise of minutes affects all subsequent attention and effort. For players without that preference, there is no penalty to withholding, and dropping it all at once.

In addition to what shoe said, there are other things that "may" benefit early offering......

If your prestige is a D+ and you're offering on a player, not a lot of coaches will be afraid to push you. But if you have an A+ prestige and you're a big player in that world, sometimes just your presence alone can help keep others away. It's kinda a false perception, but if I'm looking for a backup option or if my players are getting picked off by higher division coaches, I'd much rather get in a battle with D+ joeblow, than I would A+ qb4usf, arfy, FW_Kekionga, etc.

Again, unloading early in this perspective doesn't really have an "effort effect". But it can be a helpful poker bluff so to speak.
