Joined HD again after a multi-year hiatus. And while my St. Edwards team is far, far from being a good squad in Rupp I can't help but become optimistic reading the play by play every night as we have held the lead (tied in 1) in 8 out of our 11 games. However, a measly 2-9 record shows how the second half has gone. Was going to look into what's causing the second half collapse, foul trouble, stamina, low IQ/passing catching up with us but I can't pin it on any one thing. Long story short... is the play by play an actual representation of how the engine processed the game or does it spit out the end result and just creates a random play by play to match the end result.

One major thing I noticed is that you're changing your O/D so you're IQs are mediocre at best. Could explain the losses. Regarding 2nd half collapses, the IQ thing could play in to it - maybe it's just catching up to you.

The other thing is that you are an underdog in almost all of these games. So typically the better team is going to win over an entire game and it's easier to overperform in a half versus a full game - statistically speaking.

What he means to say is there an autocorrection built into the engine that allows favorites to mount come backs in the 2ns half. Seeing it way too often.

The end results make sense but the half vs half comparisons are ridiculous. If Seble wants this then just tighten up variations/RNG, whatever, and remove the autocorrect.

Thanks mully and Benis, I figured as much. The first half +1.1 score vs second half -6.3 through non-conference had me scratching my head a little bit but I think the come back factor explains it well in addition to the better teams typically prevail.

Speaking of play by play anyone have any favorite bizarre moments? I don't mean buzzer beaters I mean like a player missing a 3 pointer then tipping in their own missed shot.
