Training invitee Topic

I am trying to sign a spring training invitee who has no contract or assignment yet. I don’t see him under any of the GM -> contract menus. Where am I supposed to go to negotiate a deal with him?

This is a good question. I have never signed anyone to an invite only so the answer will be nice to know. I assume you either have to wait until spring training is over and re-negotiate or you need to search next season's free agents.

I think it’ll show up on GM -> Edit Rosters if I remember correctly. From there you can assign him

I appreciate the tip but unfortunately i tried that already and when i try to assign him to a roster it says he needs a long term deal or arbitration to be completed in order to be signed. He is not in the arbitration menu either though.

Yes I have. When I try to assign him it says he needs either a long term deal or arbitration

I believe he will have to play in Spring Training games and then when spring training is over you will have the choice to either keep him or let him go.

In the future-- when a player demands invite only, offer him minor league contract plus invite; he'll sign, and then you can assign him to the minors.
