I'm looking to possibly make a trade and one of the players involved is
Fernando Falu, who has a rating breakdown I've never really seen before and I'm trying to figure out best usage to better evaluate him. I often use shorter starters (55 stamina or so) and find this is an underrated source of starters. Falu projects to 50+ stamina, but also has 93 durability, meaning that he could throw 65 pitches basically every game.
Biggest questions are 1) how I'd use him? Opener for every game? Reliever for every game? and 2) if he's good enough to be used that much - splits vRHB and vLHB both look to end up in the high 60s/low 70s. It's cool to have a guy who can credibly throw 6000 or more pitches in a year, but if he's not the best option, it obviously doesn't accomplish much in the big picture besides removing the need for RP depth.
