With the staffing announcement, should we expect significant updates to HBD or is HBD far down the list in the WIS Suite? Also, if changes or updates do come to fruition, should we expect them to be significant? Or, will it be the same thing that people have brought up on these boards for the past few years?

I would welcome non-significant updates/features like stadium adjustments, longer coaching contracts, right or left hand specialist fix, freeze pane player ratings lists, fix the draft boards from re-setting after minor adjustments to draft settings, less spring training games, or any other update that makes the game less cumbersome to play.

However, the true suggestion would be to take HBD into the year 2020 -- add defensive shifts, 26-man rosters, high k/9 pitchers, more position players with three true outcomes, revenue sharing, risk of suspensions, brawls, more frequent finesse pitchers pitching effectively into early 40s, etc. I'm not sure how reasonable this suggestion is or if veteran owners of HBD would want this. I assume some of the vet owners enjoy playing 1990s baseball.

As long as everyone is clear about what's happening and when, across-the-board improvements to the games shouldn't be a problem.

Remember that time they changed the draft scouting system? Sure, people complained but the point is everyone adapted. And some indeed welcome a new challenge.

Improvements to the games, when they are in fact improvements to the overall experience and not just accommodations for someone's pet-peeve complaints, should always be welcome.
