Do you have to get to High for the recruit to sign with you as a second option?

I've had them sign with being Moderate at the end of recruiting

Yes these statements above are correct. But timing of the situation means everything. If you are in RS2 and today is the last cycle, the recruit WANTS to sign with a school, and play ball. So if today is the last day of RS2 and it ends in two hours at 11pm EST..... the recruit will sign with the school that 1) has openings 2) has THE most effort in, as well as a scholarship...... if that effort totals up to put you at very high, high, moderate, low, or even very low, if you have the most effort he'll sign with you.

But if we're talking about any ol cycle, and not the last cycle specifically, you HAVE to get to high or very high. No doubt about it.

Its only the LAST cycle where the recruit starts to settle for tiny, last minute effort

Ahh thanks Top. Good to know about the last cycle. Also, that in a normal cycle he would sign at Moderate if the first choice doesn’t have openings.

Maybe you typed it wrong, but I said that a player will NOT sign at moderate if the leading very high school, has no openings.
