SCOOP: Seattle Public Schools tells teachers that the education system is guilty of “spirit murder” against black children and that white teachers must “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgement of [their] thieved inheritance.”

I just skimmed through the powerpoint, and it seems much less insidious than this tweet that you quoted makes it appear.

Still cringe, but not harmful in my view.

tangplay, why do you bother reading anything the retired guy posts? He is just trolling.

I am not trolling. It's incredible the anti-white racism being pushed by the far left today.

If you dont think this stuff is crazy , I just don't know...here's another example:

The trainers tell white teachers that they "must commit to the journey" of anti-whiteness, even if their "lizard-brain" makes them "afraid that [they] will have to talk about sensitive issues such as race, racism, classism, sexism, or any kind of ‘ism.’" https://t.co/hfU94v4Rjy

Quote: The participants identify themselves by both gender pronouns and race labels. While it has become commonplace in academia to use gender pronoun identifiers, this is perhaps the first example of an institution creating the expectation for explicit race-labeling in the workplace. https://t.co/PJM95tVR0X

This is, literally, what the end of America looks like. Our days of being a hegemonic power in the world are waning.

The central message is that white teachers must recognize that they “are assigned considerable power and privilege” because of their “possession of white skin.” To atone for this guilt, they must “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgement of [their] thieved inheritance.” https://t.co/XqFG10xfx4

Wow, I notice that the phrase "anti-whiteness" isn't in quotes. It also isn't in the powerpoint. Why is that, guitarguy?

(also, there's a difference between anti-whiteness and anti-white people, but I think that's a bit too high-level for some people on these boards)

The race label thing is cringe, but not "tHe eNd oF aMeRiCa."

The other quote is basically just telling teachers that they have advantages in society because of being white and should acknowledge that, but said in a more "woke" way.

I mean, the powerpoint is extremely annoying and trying real hard to be progressive, but I don't think it's malicious or dangerous.

An overexuberant quest for racial justice and historical accuracy pales in comparison to the reasons why we need to get racial justice and historical accuracy.

sitarguy is to be ignored.
that’s his goal.
