I'm sure it's out there somewhere but I couldn't find an answer in the forums. Does your scouting always rely just on the amount of roster spots you have open? Can you gain more scouting budget by achieving playoff (Tournament) wins like in GD? I've only played D3 in a few worlds thus far, do scouting budgets get larger once you move up divisions?

It's based on open roster spots:

SCOUTING BUDGET:
Division 1: 35K base + 4K per opening
Division 2: 25K base + 3K per opening
Division 3: 15K base + 2K per opening

3.0 Guide is a good place to get a refresher.

In the previous version of HD (2.0) your budget would increase with conference postseason performance (if I remember right). Also, unused budget $ rolled over to the next season. Maybe that format is more similar to GD.

Unless you are getting it :) .. it is terrible for new coaches for sure.

At one point, I believe, you only got a portion of the cash to roll over unless you had no scholarships in a given season and then you could roll over all of it.

Terrible meaning...... not a well made game design.
