Is it possible to force a recruit to go juco? I have filled my scholies, and I had plenty of money on a low level recruit with high potential. He has great preferences for me including near home. I had plenty of money and ap to max out. I don't think anybody else will be able to get to "high" for recruiting. What will happen to the recruit at the turnover if I don't cut a player?

If you don’t have an opening (correct me someone if I’m wrong) all the effort you place on him will remain on him when the recruiting database turns over to the next season.

If he has 4 years of eligibility now, next season he will have 3 and will still be considering you. There will be a carryover credit reduction for all your effort.

If there's sims on him, or anybody else with an offer, he'll just sign with other teams.

On the very last cycle of RS2, if any team offers the ship, no matter where they stand, the player will sign with them.

For an example, if a D2 or D3 comes in late and just offers the ship, but can't get to high or very high because of your effort, the player will still choose the D2/D3 because he WANTS to play ball.

If there is a school at moderate yes, a school at low yes, and a school at very low yes, he will accept the offer starting with the moderate team. If that team has no openings he'll sign with the low team. If that team has no openings he'll sign with the very low team.

I'm not sure the criteria of when a player goes juco instead. Maybe if there's NO offers? Not sure.

Yes, tops answer is correct.

If another team has an offer on them right now (even a sim) your only chance to land them is rescind .

if no other team has an offer I recommend you don’t rescind since the chance a sim tosses on an offer very late is low to zero.

Thanks. I hadn't seen this at work before, or read discussion of it. Have you two tried this before?

i figured someone else would answer, but i would have said the same thing. your only hope is to scare people off who are ignorant about how it works - because if anyone puts a ship on, even with no other effort, that is enough for the recruit to sign at the end of signings. even if they are very low to your very high.

Yes, I have. Obviously didn't end up well (had a stud go d3 last minute)

I see that you got on him. May reading the boards pay off for you.

No way, just realized reading this the recruit you're talking about. I've actually been on him since the start of RS2. I do have receipts of scouting him 5 days ago and screenshots I sent to a buddy asking about advice from the 10th on how good of a player he is if you're interested. Although I'm sure it would have been in my right to read this, dig into your teams, and find the player you're talking about, it's ****** and I wouldn't do it. Doubt I will land him, unfortunately.

Oh I think it's totally legit for you to try to get him.

He didn't sign with anyone at the last 10pm cycle. Will he sign with one of the other schools that offered at the rollover?

Yes.

I believe there’s one final signing cycle at 2AM that processes these types of last minute situations and offers.

If there is a scholarship offer on him and that school has an opening, I’m pretty sure he’ll sign.
