The 2020/2021 Tournament: Round SIX Particulars Topic

For Round Six, there will be two leagues of 24 teams each. Once again, the premise of this round is pretty simple, as you shall see.

Once the spots earned from Round Five have been tabulated and the owners are listed in each league in order of how many wins their Round Four team(s) earned, there will be a draft order listed for each of the two leagues. Since Round Six only has two leagues, there will only be two "Number One Draft Picks" available to those advancing. Therefore, I'll take the owners with the four best W/L records in Round Five and give them the Top Two picks in each of the four leagues. In other words, just like we did in previous rounds.

The premise of this round is simple: We've seen for five rounds what everyone can do with the best talent out there - now we're going to see if you can take squalor and make it into a winning team. Listed here are the teams in the course of MLB History (since 1901) that had a pythagorean winning percentage of anywhere between .346 and .400. Each owner will get four of these retched squads to build his team with. The draft in each league will be like this, starting with Round One: 1-24, 24-1, 1-24, 1-24.

One League will be all National League and the other League will be all American League. The A.L. had a few more teams that qualify so they get a few more choices to pick from. No matter - there's plenty to go around.

The person with the first pick in each league will choose which of the squads he wants to start with - and which division he wants to be placed in. Once the top two draft picks are made in each of the two leagues, the drafting will go on until all 24 spots are filled - again, just like the last round.

IMPORTANT: The only thing I require when building your rosters is that you have at least six players from each of the four squads you draft.

The alignment will be set once all draft picks have been made.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

NO CAP – Build the best roster you can from your pitiful choices.

Clones: None

Designated Hitter: Yes

Waiver Wire: No

Injuries – Turned Off

Trades: No

A.A.A.: No

You may use either partial or full season stats of any player who had a split season - as long as the stats indicate it was for your franchise.

Stadium – You must use a stadium that one of your four squads called "Home" for that season.

Who Moves On?

Once Round SIX is complete, the owners who own the eight playoff teams in each league will earn a spot in Round SEVEN. 8 x 2 = 16 spots. That leaves 8 spots to fill. The final 8 spots will be awarded to the teams who had the most wins across both leagues (who didn't make their league's playoffs). The tie-break (should it come into play) will be (1) Most Home Wins, and (2) Most Runs Scored minus Runs Allowed.

Round Seven will be different than any previous rounds. I've already got it figured out but will post it at a later date.
