Hey all, I appreciate the great advice on FAQs and Advice For Newbies! Those were some intriguing and fun reads.

I've tried some post-specific searches and still have 2 questions:

1) How does WIS determine how good a hitter an AL pitcher with 0 PAs would be? In my Spring Training League, Toronto's David Wells smoked a triple haha. Is it because WIS knows he's a huge Babe Ruth fan but too out-of-shape to make it a full homer?

2) Why do Exhibition Stadium and Riverfront Stadium have the same +/- for all hit result types, yet Exhibition has a park factor of 1.03 and Riverfront is 0.90?

Thanks!

1) I believe they use the average performance for pitchers from that year
2) The +1/-1 etc. for hit types are within a range, so the -1 singles at Exhibition might mean singles are 5% less likely then normal while at Riverfront it might be 10% less than normal

The +/- for singles affect all hit types too, so while exhibition may be -5% for all hits, and riverfront could be -10% all hits. So that could have a bigger impact on the runs allowed/park rating

Each effect is rounded but fits within the ranges on this chart: https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?topicID=519598&threadID=11831758#l_11831758

the park value is not used in the sim, but is a reference to the overall run scoring environment with 1.00 being neutral, below 1.00 being lower scoring and above 1.00 being higher scoring.

and I believe the answer above about average pitchers hitting is correct.
