Here is one, they are pretty much all the same. He pinch hits for Mays and stays in CF. If he pinch hits for one of the IFs he goes out and Gil McDougald comes in.
— What is your defensive replacement condition set to? (i.e. use defensive replacements if ahead by X runs in the Y inning... what values are you using for X and Y?)
5/7 I've used 4/7 before and same issue.
— Does this problem happen when the def replacement conditions are met? If you have specific examples of that, send in a ticket and reference them. And can you post the link to a couple of those box scores so we can examine them?
I haven't noticed if it does or not, but i'll keep my eyes open.
— Does this problem happen when you are ahead, but the defensive replacement conditions are not met? If so, have you tried changing the defensive replacement conditions to be more aggressive? (i.e earlier and with a smaller lead?)
To my knowledge, no, I am *fairly* certain with defensive replacement settings met they put in a defensive sub.
— If this problem happens when you are tied or behind, do you really WANT Cedeno to be replaced? He’s like the very best offensive player in SLB... wouldn’t you rather keep his bat in the game and accept the defensive tradeoff under those circumstances? I know I would.
You make a good point that maybe I don't want him replaced, but at least put him in LF and let Mantle play CF. If we get the lead I certainly wouldn't want him staying in, particularly if he's unlikely to get another AB anyway.
