How do you decide where to put each pitcher/

Anymore, I start each season by setting all my relievers as SuA, let them come in anytime, then let the AI decide when to bring them in. It usually does a pretty good job of that. But then about 1/4 of the way into the season, I look to see if there are any guys who are not being very effective. I move them to SuB. I do not even use LR, CL, or Mop pitchers anymore.

SUA is reserved for guys that have more even splits. If you put uneven splits at the back end of games, you will blow more leads due to pinch hitting. My better pitchers with even splits are in my SUA position. My lower end relievers with even splits will be in my SUB position. For relievers with uneven splits, I have them in more of an LRB or LRB position because there is less pinch hitting before the sixth inning.

I'm curious to know if you adjust more than once or if the one adjustment is all you make during a full season. My approach is most similar to this, but I make 2-3 adjustments per season.

In season adjustments are key to success. I've had mid-level guys win Cy Young Awards and below average guys get near the majority of the votes for Cy Young in certain seasons. If a guy is having a career year, why not ride him more.

Yeah, I check my relievers every 30 to 40 games or so to see if I need to make any adjustments.
