Four men, three spots, you decide Topic

After a recent trade that is pending currently in jersey, I find myself with an interesting set of hitters. Basically, my conundrum boils down to which three guys I'm going to start, and which positions I start them at. Three out of these four guys are going to get starting spots at third base, second base and center field. I'm just curious what other managers thought process would be when selecting who goes where. The candidates:

Now, Sanchez is still in AAA so I can certainly keep him there for another year, but I do like his offense compared to polanco's, and I'm hopeful that his glove can increase to the point where he is at least an average third baseman. The other Factor here is that this team won the world series last year and is in a good position for another run, so I'm less concerned about saving money on arbitration years than I am major league wins. I am about 85% sure what my game plan is here, but what would you do with these guys?

PS here is the guy that I traded away that started this whole mess: Player Profile: Ren Chong - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports

Sanchez at 3rd. Lugo or Barkley at 2nd and none of the above at CF.

I guess you could put Lugo at CF if you really wanted to but that is a massive waste of that arm strength and accuracy.

I don't really see a centerfielder in that group. Hope you got a great return for Chong.....I can't imagine trading a controllable guy like him. They are too hard to find. If I had to pick I would put Lugo at CF....Sanchez at 3rd.....Barkley at second. I would be concerned about defense all the way around.

+1 on all points. Chong would be the best position player in the league in many of my worlds.

Yeah, it was a two-part trade involving one of my starting pitchers who had made himself expendable, but the major returns I got were guys who were picked at 1.1, 1.2, and last year's highest paid international Free agent. All three of my outfielders were on the MVP shortlist last year, so my team has the offense, but yeah defense could be a little shaky this season, but I'm hoping the improvements I've made at pitching should negate some of that

I forgot to mention, my left and right fielders both have 76 range, so that should also help nullify a little bit of a deficit in center field on the defensive side

I used to think so too but honestly, you can put a bag of bricks at LF and RF and still be ok. They don't really help out that much.

I'd look to trade for a defensive stud CF, someone with 90+ range and an 85+ glove. If you can get them to run the bases and steal a bag or two its a bonus. They probably won't be able to hit. Then put the 'leftovers' of the above 4 guys either as first man off the bench or in your corner outfields if their bat is better.

It might just be me but 2B, SS and CF I always make sure to go above and beyond defensive recommendations for range and glove.
