The 2015 Icon progressive is need of 2 or 3 new owners for our 47th season. The main premise of the league is that you may only roster players who played for your franchise in real life.

Basic Rules:

Salary Cap - None

AAA - 12/6 Below Average. Five round AAA draft concludes the regular rookie/free agent draft. AAA selections must meet league eligibility rules and must be cut at the end of the season.

DH – AL only

Trades - Allowed and almost needed. Teams can only trade for eligible players though. Draft picks may be traded 2 years in advance. Players to be named later (future random AAA players) may also be traded.

IR - Unlimited. Restricted to any player without a WIS season, or any CK/TI that did not play for your franchise at all during that season (at owner’s discretion).

WW - No

Keepers - Unlimited. Any players who were assigned to your roster as career keepers, team icons, etc. must be kept for the duration of their career.

Draft Order - Will be determined at the end of the season. 54 wins are needed to qualify for a top 3 pick.*** Teams that do not reach 54 wins will be slotted from the 4th spot on by most wins. The rest of the draft (including top 3 picks) is inverse order of record. The first pick in rounds 2-4 belongs to the team with the fewest wins and continues in inverse order.

Divisions – As close to real life as possible

Team Names and Stadiums - Same as real life. If your team changes names or moves parks, then you must do the same.

Specific League Rules:

CAREER KEEPERS - Any player who has every season in WIS for one team will belong to that team. They cannot be cut, but may be put in AAA:
- Any Career Keeper/Team Icon with fewer than 60 IP/ 150 PA may be placed in AAA or on the MLB roster to start the season.
- Career keepers with fewer than 100 IP and an ERA greater than 6. and batters with OPS less than .600 and fewer than 300 PA may also be placed in AAA to begin the season.

Draft Eligibility - Any player not assigned as a career keeper/team icon may be drafted by any franchise for which he appeared in a single game. Eligibility locks at the start of the draft.

The possibility would exist to relocate to an available franchise within your league.

Open Franchises:

AL: Toronto, Seattle, Detroit
NL: Colorado, San Diego, Florida

As owner of the Senators/Rangers since the league's inception in 1969, I'll vouch for this league. It does a good job of making your team feel like the real-life teams while still allowing you flexibility to fill holes and make it your own. Good group of active owners. If your favorite team is Oakland, Milwaukee, Toronto, Seattle, Detroit, Colorado, San Diego, or Florida, you'll enjoy getting to use the players you know!

Nobody has Detroit right now, but you would have to do a 3 year plan to transition your team. You would only get to keep your players that are Tigers eligible. You would also get any CK's that aren't on another team currently. You can trade your ineligible players to other teams & acquire eligible players as well.

Sure is a good thing you guys forced me out. That stud Arizona team I built has really been on fire since I left. Three mediocre-to-awful seasons from the owners who've had it since, when it should've been a WS contender each year. Great for the quality of the league.

Anyone considering joining this league in the future - beware of the small clique of owners that run things. Cross them, and they'll do whatever they can to drive you out.

Scherzer and Greinke have given up 5 or more runs in over half their starts. Not much an owner can do about that. All it looks like you did for this team was trade away draft picks. Anyone can do that.

jtpsops, this is the only post I will make on the matter, please don't post here again. I always treated you with respect.

No one forced you out. You QUIT after posts you made upset a pair of father/son owners dealing with personal issues. Now you did not know the problem, obviously, but it was your relentless need to debate minutiae that upset so many. They quit because of you, then you quit to make yourself a martyr.

We had a couple of new owners that season who were kind of absentee, but now have a solid group, our new Diamondbacks owner among them. I have absolutely no idea why you chose to post this now, but, please, leave us alone. Thank you.
