The
100 Year War is a long running 12 team progressive (began in 1901, currently finishing up the last few games of the 1961 season), and we are looking to expand to 16 teams for 1962. We have one American League expansion owner already signed up, and are looking for one more AL owner, and 2 National League owners.
League Rules - Rookie Draft Order is determined by total losses across two most recent seasons (most losses rank 1st), and there is a weighted lottery for the top 4 selections. The team with the most losses over the most recent two season span will have the highest lottery odds, and would never pick below 4th. -
NOTE - For 1962, the expansion teams will be the top 4 selections in the Rookie Draft (order opposite of Expansion Draft order), and in 1963, the expansion team losses from 1962 will be counted double when determining the draft order.
No WW, Trade Deadline Game 117, Transaction Deadline Game 120, Keep up to 25, fictitious AAA is allowed and is below average (we do not draft our own AAA), Injured Reserve is available for any player who doesn't have a WIS eligible season in the upcoming season, and players can be kept as long as the owner desires, until traded, cut, or retired
Expansion Draft Rules
- The expansion draft will be held after the 1961 season.
- Expansion draft will be serpentine style
- The draft order will be decided randomly using Random.org
- Expansion draft will have 18 rounds (16 rounds are mandatory)
Players available for the expansion draft
- Each current team will protect 13 players on their roster. Only players that have a season in 1962 need to be protected. (Players on Injured Reserve in 1962 are not eligible for the Expansion Draft)
- Any player that is not on a team’s roster or IR list during the 1962 season will be part of the expansion draft
- The most any one team can lose in the expansion draft is 6 players. After 6 players from one team have been selected, the remaining undrafted players for that team will be removed from the draft and returned to their original team
- Any players not selected in the expansion draft will be returned to their original team
